- Yep, but after my daft manouvre with my alien it breifly crossed my mind. I could have hopefully taken one of your men with me if I'd done the right thing.

- I see what you mean, but I think hindsight has a way of tricking us into thinking things were a lot more obvious at the time than they probably really were. You backstep could have been the difference between my shot missing and hitting for example.
I mentioned once before, but I think there is a large psycholgical element to this game. Maybe because of my reputation as a good player you were more cautions than you might have been against a newbie player. Where against an unskilled player you might have charged forward and took out my unit, because it was me your initial reaction was "crap, there he is, run away". I think a cautious, cowardly style of play can often be the greatest downfall. I don't mean the best style of play is to mindlessly charge forward completely without fear, but make a plan, keep it flexible and be brave enough to take a few risks and make a few sacrifices.
I went through a terrible patch of losing game after game to Wonderhero and I know it was purely psychological. He got lucky a bit, then self-doubt and worry crept into my mind and without realising my usual playing style against him changed to become more cowardly and predictable. It was a vicious circle which was only broken by refusing to play him for a while until I regained my self belief by playing other opponents.
I've played tikkifriend many, many times and I don't think he has ever beaten me (correct me if I'm wrong), despite him winning some great games against other skilled opponents. It's probably a similar situation here that he doubts himself when he plays me, and that lack of confidence makes him predictable to me. (Watch him go and beat me now, lol!) Posted by

- Damn, I could have used that undo option too! It was going so well... I tried to throw a grenade too close to the wall. Disaster.

- Ah little big Horn
- Did your #7 take shot? I expected my alien to be dead.

- He he, you were right. :)
Cool game. I think my early mistake of blowing up 2 of my own soldiers might have actually helped me in way. After that happened I completely changed my plan, I threw caution to the wind and just charged in quickly for an egg. It worked. Posted by

- I made a cock-up at the start by rushing in quickly. For some reason I never anticipated that enemy units could also be going for just the same rooms. (Actually, looking at the map I forgot that the humans don't start right in the corner squares which I thought they did). My two aliens at the top were sitting ducks. Unluckily for Tikkifriend I saw his units first.

- Yeah Tikki did seem to have a rough time in comparison to me. I would like to thank him for killing so many of your Aliens, including the Queen! :)
