Game 1334: SteveSmith, pickupsticks in 'The Assassins'

- I'm excited to see how the Android client works :)
Also, I can blame any mistakes on "taking my turns while I'm on the bus and my finger slipped" so that's a plus point already.
Good luck to you and your team of assassins. I should let you know that Sterner is out of town for a few days though, so you may as well abandon the mission now and save yourself some time ;)
- synthetic lace front wigs | synthetic lace front wigs wholesale,
- We'll just wait outside for him to get back then. :)
Thanks a lot for trying it out. Needless to say, let me know if you have any problems or suggestions. One of the advantages of the Android client is that's easy to update it if we do find any issues.
Also, 'mcclenahcris' has been banned. I'll delete the posts tonight. Posted by

- ...will I still get my synthetic lace front wigs, though?
- Yes, and it comes with a free back wig as well!
Hey, I've just had a great idea for some new equipment that Sterner can buy... Posted by

- For suggestions, how about a "pip" on each unit graphic to indicate which way they're facing, like the arrow in the PC client?
I've not done anything stupid YET but I can feel it coming... my eyesight isn't as sharp as it used to be.
I like the aiming mechanism, nice and easy - less fiddling about to get a good shot compared to the original client too.
I noticed that when you set your grenade off the damaged tiles were revealed for me even though I couldn't see them... is that how the original client functions too? I don't remember.
[eyes and memory failing, not good]
- Where your #2 was standing in the doorway, I could see that the door was open before I had LOS to it.
Again, not sure if this is how it works in the original client, but it's not right to have that kind of info available!
(not that it made much difference here as I was going out that way anyway)
- Seems to be stuck now - I've still got actions to take this turn. When I go into the client it loads the map, but all my walking around and blowing myself up with grenades doesn't seem to be sent up to the server.
- This mission isn't going very well for me!
Thanks for the comments. I'll be adding a direction indicator in the next version. Regarding the damaged tiles and the open door, that's the way it's always been (and the way is was in Laser Squad, which is always a good barometer). It would start getting very complicated to keep track of which individual map square had been seen and what state they were in the last time a unit saw them. Posted by

- If you restart the client, can you log in?

- I'd exited and logged back in a half dozen times, no joy.
Went and force-closed it and logged back in, seems to be working now.
Poor guy, he's blown himself up with this grenade I'm about to throw far too many times!
- ...including this time. Boom!
- Well played, you well and truly trounced me! I made a small mistake with two grenades at the start (by timeing them to go off at the same time and not at different turns) and it went downhill from there.
I'll have a look at the problem you encountered. In the version you have there's no connection timeout, but I've added that in the new version. Posted by

- With regards to tiles being visible when their states change even though no units have LOS. Would it be possible make it so the doors always appear closed when there are no units with LOS on them?
It's one part of the original that always bugged me and I do think it has quite a large impact on gameplay. Making it so all doors appear closed would seem a simple solution to it but I am not the one coding anything. Posted by

- I think this has been debated a few times. I must admit, I prefer it the way it is as it adds another strategic dimension, i.e. don't leave units in the middle of doorways at the end of a turn.
