- If you want to try this cunning plan as a league point game I would be happy to oblige!

- There was fire, death, multiple explosion and complete apocalyptic mayhem! Try it again but prefer league point game. If your plan is very experimental and too risky to you then practice is ok if you want another go at it.

- hmmm, needs a little fine tuning.

- Defending the house is extremely difficult. It has a poor record of success. It can and has been done. I think it is generally regarded as suicidal for the humans. Makes fun games though.

- would like to see a replay of humans winning by staying in the house.

- These are very old games. Game 15816 opponent Agent Orange took out the outside walls. Game 14853 Craigd used opportunity fire. Note that the human survival rate was poor despite the win. These were early and I play this mission better now. I once saw Jez "defend" the building by removing most of the walls and his troops were very active. Units using opportunity fire and moving position constantly. Death in the house comes about from the static cramped conditions. And Aliens love cover and humans bunched up. For the humans it is a spatial problem. Humans need reasonable distance from aliens to be effective. Close combat fighting is not recommended. Acid explosions and easy nibbling! If you feel nervous play a couple of practice ones or if you got the confidence play them league.

- The Craigd was great, was it gas grenades?

- The game I can remember winning staying in the building is 15672 against Teo, is that the one you mean? I think I hardly used opp fire, just grenades then shooting the survivors when they were left exposed by timed grenades. It's hard to tell on the Android playback though and my memory is fuzzy.

- Amazing that is the exact game I was recalling! You are right about the shooting. It looks totally live aimed shooting. But my example to Paasque remains the same. A beautiful game, your men worked so well as a coordinated active group. Totally opposite to static positions. I don't know how well it would work if a player used this strategy repeatedly but definitely one to learn from. If we had a selective showcase archive of the best games, I would nominate this one.

- Hi Paasque, yes nerve gas but that was Craigd's early novice mistake. And it was probably before we had Incendiary grenades. The Agent Orange and Craigd games are good examples of a type of defence that I would call static. The 'human' player is feeling that the house offers some protection. Without being arrogant I could probably win every time if a player tries a siege strategy within the building because the odds are stacked in favour of the aliens in this situation. The Jez game is different. He opened up the house and I would question whether he was defending or attacking!

- if you stay and dont open up the house, you are doomed.

- Thanks, the element of surprise helped I'm sure, as it's something I hardly ever do. Relying on opp fire in most missions is fatal, I think.
