- So did you hear when I destroyed the computer ? Or the scanner show you that broken computer ?

- The scanner always shows broken computers. I might have been more hesitant to kill your guy in the doorway because I couldn't see inside the room and be sure it was him who stabbed the computer, but since I "heard" someone move next to the computer and the directional arrows on the blip matched the theory of Bert Zolyx turning around, walking next to the computer and then going back to his post. Plus he was still holding the knife.

- And he was wearing a guilty look on his face. That's what gave him away.

- Well played. I almost came close to trying to kill your units as I thought your #2 was deliberately blocking the way to the computer room with the destroyed computer.

- I forgot that the scanner always shows broken computers. In this way any player can figure out who strike the computer because he can constantly check the scanner for each opponent turn.
It's better to not let the scanner to show this unless the squad already seen it. Posted by

- The knife's strike should be silent, but of course breaking a computer shouldn't be.

- What you say ? Are you agree with me that Scanner shouldn't show broken computers if the player's squad didn't see them yet ?

- Yes I think the destroyed status of computers should be hidden, at least in snafu games. All the more because it can be nastily exploited by someone who simply logs in often, like you said.

- I think showing the destroyed computers will only alter the game, not neccesarily make it better or worse, by changing it so that the saboteurs can try and find computers that aren't being watched by any other units. That could stretch the game out too long as the sab would spend a lot of time trying to find such computers.
Also, if it was implemented, it would also make the game a bit too complex for the non-saboteurs as they would have to try and remember which computers they last checked to see if they were destroyed, and also they'd have to perpetually check all the computers hidden out of view, like at the bottom-left, which could get a bit tedious. At the moment it's relatively simple as it's just a case of trying to get the best view of all the computers, and then guessing who the saboteur is by the clues on the map. Posted by

- Steve, is not necessary to guess, view something or play the game. All you need is to check often the scanner on forum. When you see a broken computer you already know who is the saboteur. It's very simple.
In this case the saboteur have to destroy all needed computers quick in one turn, otherwise he has almost not chance to survive. Yes can be a tactic if he kill any near opponent unit to have a chance for the next turn. But I think is very hard. So I prefer to not be saboteur. Posted by

- Fair enough, if someone wants to constantly refresh the scanner then that does give them an advantage. How about the computer are hidden on the website scanner, so players will only be able to see whether any computers have been destroyed when it is their turn?
