• I get the feeling your 15 years worth of rusty wont take too long to shake off. You are doing alright considering everyone gets slaughtered in their first few games. :)

• It got nothing to do with the door. My guy is wearing Super-Heavy armour and you are shooting him from the front where he is most protected. Check out the armour info under the Stellarpedia drop-down. Super-Heavy is expensive and makes your unit unbelievably slow, but there are times when it is extremely useful. :)

• Good game. You need to combine the use of guns and grenades to really master this game. Good effort though. :)
