- I've watched the intermediate playback a few times, but I can't see what caused the explosion of my units 4, 5 and 8 (the three near the top). Any clues? Good turn, btw. :( ;)

- I can't give you the unit numbers because they have disappeared from my scanner.
I threw a grenade at your unit at the very top edge of the map in plain view of him. You should have seen it because you even had a couple of opportunity shots which missed me.
The 2 units slightly lower down, at the top of the map behind the Nerve Gas I can understand why you didn't see anything. I threw a grenade through the Nerve Gas which killed them both.
On the subject of this I've noticed that trying to figure out from the scanner what has happend previously has become a lot more difficult of late. It's like certain things aren't being updated after the last turn like they used to be. Posted by

- I think I know exactly what happened. It all went downhill after my failed nerve gas grenade. I lost most of my best men in those first explosions as well. :( I think I'm really starting to see evidence of the difference between raw recruits and experienced units.

- I only see evidence of the difference between a team that uses grenades and a team that clumps its units together...

- Yeah, I usually either clump my units too closely together (and normally end up setting off a death-grenade chain reaction) or separating them too much and they get picked off one by one. Even my last ditch defence of the computer was a disaster. One of these days I'll get it right! Good game though, and very well played. :)
On the subject of the difference between raw recruits and experienced units, I might set up some "target practise" shots, run them several times, and see what the average chances of units hitting another unit say, 10 squares away, are with various levels of shot skill. I'm curious to know how much difference it makes to accuracy. Posted by
