In the last turn I just shot one computer. I had 96 victory points before that. In the second last turn I managed to destroy four computers with my two guys in your base... It was very tight game.
Yeah, I just re-read the mission description and noticed you don't have to destroy them all, just 100 points worth. I hadn't been taking notice of the VP assuming they all had to be destroyed. I really thought I had you then. Oh well, it was a good tight game anyway.
Wait, so you only need to get to 100 VPs in Moonbase Assault 2? I knew that was the case in Moonbase Assault, but it doesn't say that on the Mission Description for Moonbase Assault 2. Actually it doesn't say that on the Mission Description for Moonbase Assault either....weird.
For Moonbase Assault 2 it says you need to destroy enough computers to win, and that you get 8 VP for each computer. I didn't pay any attention to that and without doing the maths based my tactics on assuming you needed to destroy all of them. It seems weird to me that you wouldn't need to destroy all of them. I thought I was playing it safe, guaranteeing my victory by getting soldiers in position to assault the final room while knowing JWave didn't have enough time to destroy all of the computers in my base. It turns out I only needed to destroy 3 of the computers so could have lobbed a grenade through the wedged open door and won the game several turns ago. Yes, I was kicking myself.
Did you only needed to destroy 3 because he only destroyed 2? It can't be only 3 need to be destroyed, as I've already taken out 7 in my game and haven't won yet. Did you guys run out of time?
I've noticed that some information is missing from the mission descriptions, like how many VP's you get when a unit is killed etc, so I'm going to add this soon. However, all missions are won when a player gets 100 VPs.
