Game 32986: paasque, petermock in 'Alien Hordes: Xenophobia'

- Hi Steve, just a question. With the new rules for shooting around corners are aliens more vulnerable than before when hiding behind a single block? If so, could some of the blocks be made into double blocks for Xenophobia please?

- I probably won't play the alien side in this mission unless there were some alterations to the blocks. They would make the game more fun. Good tactics by the way.

- Sounds good. I reckon it should be a random selection of outer and inner blocks dotted about. And only upgrade the existing blocks in their original positions. Also I think if every block was turned into a double it would be too much. Subtle changes.

- I'm not sure what you mean by a "double block"?
- Hi Steve, each block at present is a single block, a single unit. So I thought if some were made into 2 units, a small rectangle it might give the aliens a better chance of hiding. Paasque has already altered a Xenophobia map and it's great. We're just testing it out to see if it works. As we have the original Alien Hordes left intact I think the Xenophobia version could do with some minor structural map alterations, with your approval. It look pretty good too.

- Ah, I see. I'm more than happy for anyone to modify the maps, and if they turn out to be better than the original then I could replace them. Has the new "shooting round corners" caused more problems than it solved though?
- I have not noticed any problems with the new shooting around corners, only positive from here.

- the old days where you could hit the corner when you stood face to face with your enemy is almost gone.

- Steve I think the corner question I asked is resolved. It works well and doesn't impact the aliens. The separate issue of the single blocks not hiding the aliens very well has also been improved with Paasque's design. I think his map could replace the current Xenophobia one but there's no hurry. I would like to test it further before suggesting the change.
