- Very well played. Your strategy nicely neutralised my grenade attack. I also ran out of weapons.

- Thanks Petermock! Feeling quite smug at the moment for finally getting a victory :-)
Aside from that, it was also just a very enjoyable game! Posted by

- I watched the playback and you should feel proud. Your group of men that legged it all the way behind my lines and attacked my rear was uncomfortable! A clever strategy. I have a counter strategy in mind...

- Haha, count on me to use the exact same strategy then! ;-)

- Actually, i quite often get the suspicion that the number of possible stratgies is quite limited (or rather, my inventiveness) and that a lot is determined by what strategies the players happen to choose.
Often times i lose because of poor tactics though... Too impatient and too eager to sneak peeks... Also i seem to have a disadvantage regarding op fire as compared to many opponents. Is that due to the experience of my units? I seem to suffer defeats a lot and my troopers are promoted rarely. Posted by

- Opportunity fire I think you should get better results with better shot skill combined with an accurate weapon. Shot skill 35 I usually give them an AP100 and death grenade. 37 to 39 shot skill are pretty good with sniper and blasters. 40 plus usually gets the job done. Lower skill shot units can be placed in small groups or pairs aiming in the same direction. Obviously this increases the chance of hits but the down side is you are putting more units in a vulnerable situation. Depends on the mission, weapons, terrain and your personal style. Autocannons in opp fire are notoriously inaccurate and more likely to blow your feet off than hit an enemy.

- There are some opp fire technicalities that I'm a bit hazy on that Steve or other players can fill you in. Opp fire in a dead straight line in respect to the grid over a vast distance always seems to hit the target. I think all shots are always set to snap shot accuracy by default.
