- Bloody hell. A brilliant plan fouled up by horrible shooting.

- Its a good job for me that your 3 men were at the bottom-right and I wasted time shooting at them otherwise I'd have got to the entrance to be met by the grenade!

- I didn't expect to catch your guys with the grenade there, although that would have been an added bonus. 'Course I didn't expect the entire lot of our guys to miss quite so much either.

- i managed to hit you a couple of times, and did a grand total of 3 points of damage.

- Yeah, I remember reading something about the damage decreasing with distance, but thought I remembered that was only for lasers. Maybe it's more a reflection of being a "graze" as opposed to being a solid hit? I expect we'll get a better idea as I shoot you more when I take my turn at lunch! ;-)

- Or I could miss every shot and it would still remain a mystery.....*sigh*

- You just threw my own grenade back at me, didn't you? I obviously miscalculated the amount of APs it would take to do that....

- erm, I've no idea what you're talking about! It looked like one of your men was holding a grenade that went off...

- Yes, I apparently bounced it off of your guy(Matthews? #10 I think) and caught it before I ran back to blow up my own guys. Stupid overzealous Sgt.......

- What a cockup that was! I should have set the grenade to go off earlier, and my unit managed to miss at point-blank range.

- So apparently the secret to accurate shooting is not aiming carefully, but running right up to the enemy, sticking your gun in his face, and just pulling the trigger a lot. Go figure.

- And you get a 10 point damage bonus as well!

- I did not know that. Makes sense though, the shots that were hitting at range were pretty weak.

- Shot damage is also reduced for shot over 5 squares (by 1pt per square).

- Did I forget to throw a grenade? I'm sure some computers should have been destroyed!

- No, you didn't forget. I saw it on the ground, picked it up, and had enough time to throw it back at you before it exploded. I'm not sure if grenades affect computers now, I think I recall Steve posting that they would. But either way, that grenade wouldn't have been close enough.

- I dunno what's worse - forgetting to throw a grenade, or having my own grenade thrown back at me!

- That's a tough one. I thought you had thrown mine back at me on turn 4, but that was the previous glitch where you couldn't throw a grenade into an occupied square.
The lower AP cost of throwing grenades definitely makes it important not to throw a primed grenade too early though! Posted by

- My plan was to somehow pick off all your remaining men with my last man. If only he'd killed your man with his opp fire shot! Good long game, you wupped me there. :)

- For the longest time I thought you were just playing for a draw. You did a really good job whittling my guys down at the end.
Thanks for the game! Posted by
