- Got your email Steve. I didn't know you hadn't received mine until it was too late. At the moment I'm thinking the odds are stacked in your (player 2) favor. Then again I would think that being player 1, ha ha. I guess we'll see how the mission unfolds, but at the moment I'm thinking 3 scientists 7 computers is probably the way to go.

- Or maybe still have 4 scientists, but increase the VP's for the scientists/computers so that only 3 scientists need to be killed? What do you think?

- Balance wise that would probably be ideal, but personally I don't really like the idea of someone winning a game without killing/destroying all of the set targets. I think it can also be quite frustrating for players who didn't read the mission description properly (I should know, lol). It's probably just me being picky, but I would prefer to tip the balance by removing one of the scientists completely, creating an even number of forces on each side. If further adjustment is need we could increase the number of credits available for player 1 which now feels less generous than I had anticipated. ;)

- I doubt Josrin Gale can believe his luck! Somehow I idiotically assumed you have stepped back outside. Doh!

- Josrin Gale never runs away.

- And it pays. Yet another school boy error from me. :(

- What's going on with the walls, Steve? I just fired a Rocket Launcher at one and the only things which destroyed were the computer behind it and the door.

- I'm not sure. Looking into it...

- Erm, I'm not sure if you wanted me to do it, but I recreated the explosion. Let me know. I think the problem was that although I updated the code to make walls destroyable, I didn't update the server. Although I don't know how the computer got destroyed as it was on the other side of the wall?

- Ha ha, the only problem with recreating the explosion was my guys moved towards the wall after I fired the original rocket, so Private Trench was this time caught inside the blast radius. Don't worry about it though, you can take your turn as normal. With the mistakes I already made and the probable imbalance I don't think I can win now anyway.

- I thought that when I saw your corpse appear! Do you want to start this mission again with changed unit numbers and credits? (Maybe side 2 could have a few more deployment squares as well?)

- Sure, I won't turn down the offer of escaping a further ass kicking! :) The reason I didn't have any huge clusters of deployment squares for player 2 was to force them to spread their men out a bit. Feel free to add some more if you think they are needed though. Do you feel we need more credits for both sides? I definitely feel we need more for player 1.

- How many creds do you want me to put?

- Maybe just 50 more to put it up to 500, yeah? May as well do the same for player 2 as well - keep everything even.

- Done, and the game is ready. One thing that has occured to me - a tactic for the attackers might be to just blow up the whole map, and 500 creds should give quite few rockets and grenades!

- Good point. It probably wouldn't be quite as easy as it sounds, but if that is the case then we'll probably have to make some more changes. Maybe I'll give it a try. ;)

- I was just about to equip my units and I noticed there are still only 6 computers on the map instead of 7. Do you still have 4 scientists? If you only have 3 there will be 10 vp short.

- Ooops, I forgot to change the numbers. However, as I alluded to in my other post, I think the computers will be easy to destroy with a few grenades, and the scientists will have trouble hiding with most of the walls destroyed. However, it's your mission of course, so let me know if you want to restart with the changes or continue!

- Well there isn't much point in continuing if either of us suspect there is still an imbalance. How about we change the scientist/computer ratio to 3/7 and reduce the credits back to 450 per side? Do you think that will balance it out fairly? I don't think it will be so easy to destroy as much of the map as you suggest. Feel free to chose player 1 and take on the challenge if you like. ;)

- All done, and new game request added. I'll give you the honour of being side 1. :)

- I still had 500 credits but I've gladly spent them all. ;)

- Damn, I forgot to update the server with that bit. One day I'll get it all right.

- Ha ha. Do you want to restart?

- Nah. 50 points won't make much difference...

- It could be almost 3 rockets worth of difference. But ok, it leaves me with no excuses this time. :)
