- Thanks for the game Xeno. A lot learnt at my end.
Lesson 1. Han Solo lied to me.
A 'blaster' is not a close range weapon! Ha ha
- Nice to meet you in the game Ethereal Slayer. You played quite well and it was fairly close through most of the game.
Yeah Blasters can fire from distance, in fact no limit in the game with any of the guns bar the flame thrower. But it isn't that accurate hence my unit blowing himself up by shooting the wall next to him! Posted by

- Good to know.
I tried the flame thrower in a practice game thinking it might momentarily set fire to the ground (for area denial). But I guess that's only the incendiary grenades (hence they are banned in some missions).
Also, does fire spread?
Love the effect of smoke around fire.
I have lots of questions ha ha
For example. Is there a visibility distance limit? By which I mean. Can all units see the full length of every map so long as they have LOS? Or might long distance shots necessitate a spotter?
- Ps thanks for the reply.
Rematch?
- Fire doesn't spread as such. But like smoke it dissipates, gradually disappears but it can still move. Also standing next to a fire square when you move catches you alight. While alight you can bump into your enemy and he catches alight.

- Visibility of an enemy is possible across the map as long as it isn't behind anything.

- Most games you don't need an extra clip.

- Very interesting.
Ok. Next question regarding being on fire...
Is there a chance that being on, or near, fire will detonate grenades being carried by a unit? Or grenades thrown into fire? Or fire that moves onto a timed grenade?
Forgive me if this has been stated somewhere already. I have been slowly making my way through some of the forum topics.
- Good question. No they don't. Although maybe they should? One for Steve.
Fire doesn't kill you straight way. You can still move but it reduces your health points. I can't remember incendiary grenades in the original, but loved them in the game UFO.
Still hoping for a shotgun in this, limited range but powerful. Maybe we can crowd fund for one. :; I'll drop a tenner in the hat. Posted by

- Shotgun would be great for tunnel work. I'm in.
