- Sorry for the delay in my turn. I've just decided to tweak the mission so that a new piece of equipment appears at the end of each player's turn, rather than at the end of each overall turn. Otherwise, player 1 (i.e. me) would have had a major advantage.

- Steve, I can't seem to complete my turn. When I click end turn it seems to freeze. When I shut down the program and restart it, my players are back in the same (half way through my turn) position.
Besides that, I'm not too sure how fair the balance will be for this mission even with the change you just made. Surely the advantage still favours player 1, then 2, then 3, and finally 4 in that order. If any player before you has brought along a rocket launcher or something your whole squad could be dead before you eveb get the chance to move. Might I suggest changing this mission so that all of the teams start behind a small wall for some initial protection - then begin the dropping of weapons and items into the middle of the arena so that players need to come out of hiding to collect them. What do you think? Posted by

- The not being to end my turn is happening on my Hit & Run Campaign mission too. It freeze, I end the program, restart the client and my units are back where they started.

- Have you got an error_log.txt in the program directory? I seem to remember this happening a few months ago. Can you remember what the problem was then? I've done a quick search of the forums but can't find any particular resolution.

- No, no error log at all. The game just freezes on ending turn and I'm forced to ctrl+alt+del to quit the program. It's like what was happening with Windows 64 before you created the win64 client. Very strange. Is no one else having any problems taking their turns?

- I just had one more attempt at this, the same thing happened. Looking again with the Task Manager it says "Java platform binary SE is not responding" - so I'm guessing the problem might be on my computer with Java. I'll have another look into it tomorrow.

- I've remembered that the last time this happened, it was because the SF program didn't have permission to create files in the directory. Has anything been changed between it working and not working?

- Regarding your comments about Gladiator, I think you're right. I originally didn't want to have an enclosed starting area for each player, but since the arena size gets reduced each turn, that area will soon get swallowed up anyway.

- No, nothing that I know about has changed at all. It's really strange because this problem seemed to happen half-way through taking my turn on the Gladiator mission. Half on my moves on that turn have been successfully transfered to the server, but for some reason halfway through my turn the data stopped being sent and nothing has worked since.

- I don't think the problem is the SF program not being able to create files in the directory. I deleted my client and re-downloaded the same latest client again. The first time I used it I had to put my password in. The second time I used it it had saved my password, so I'm guessing that means it can still create files, right? So the problem must be something else.

- It sounds like it could originally create files, but like you say, something has changed at some point since. If you delete the file ./data/last_login.txt, does it remember your password again if you starting to take your turn twice?

- Yeah it remembers the password and creates a new last_login.txt file.
To me it seems like the problem stemmed from the Gladiator mission itself, the whole mission seemed to increasingly lag on spotting more and more enemies.
Each time I attempt to take my turn I think some of my moves are being carried through, but its like there is a massive delaying lag going on, and on Ending turn it freezes.
The thing I found really strange was that none of my moves are now being recorded on my Hit and Run mission now either (which is the only onther mission I can take a turn on at the moment). Posted by
