- I wish it had been all on the first turn - just lost another 5 on the next turn! I'm going to have to pull out something pretty amazing to rescue this victory.

The game log records Alien 3 as dead, but on restarting the client, Alien 3 is most definitely still there in front of my unit. I'll hold off doing anything else for the moment.

- Sorry about that. You and explosions don't seem to get on! ;) I thought I'd tested everything but there's always something that slips through. I've fixed the data and released a new (new) version of the client to stop it happening again.

- Steve, it seems like the impregnation feature has stopped working. I just killed Dr Ozone (frazzmac's #4) but he was not impregnated.
I think this might have been intentionally changed on the Egg Hunt mission, but shouldn't have been for Alien Containment. Posted by

- Sorry about that. It looks like the feature has been accidentally knocked out for a while now and I've not noticed. I've fixed this instance, but could you avoid killing any more units until tommorow evening when I'll have fixed it. I'll let you know, then feel free to kill as many of Frazzmac's units as possible. :)

- I don't mean to be picky, but you just zapped me with the unit Steve rescucitated for you *after* I took my turn. The only reason my #11 was standing there was that there wasn't an alient to be seen....

- Frazzmac, I think I understand what you mean, but I don't that is actually what happened. Ozone was (manually) converted into an Alien the turn before the turn I just took. I saw Private Riga down the corridor with his back to me, but he was too far away to attack. Instead I hid around the corner of the bend in the corridor. I was holding back from taking my turn so that he didn't have to manually convert any more units. Hopefully this will become clear on the playback after the mission is finished.

- The less said about my input in that game the better! Looking at the map I think I chose the wrong start locations; if I'd chosen the top of the map I'd have had a much clearer (but longer) route. It looks like you two had a good battle though.

- Yeah it was strange how everyone focused on the bottom of the map. If I'd have tried to escape towards the top left I could have strolled out.
I've just been looking at the situation which frazzmac mentioned. Did he have valid point when he suggested my unit was spawned after his turn? I really didn't think that was the case, but watching the playback he 'looks' like he was right. I'm not sure... Posted by

- Steve, I thought you would split up a bit more than that. Like I've said before, the Rebels and Marsec almost need to collaborate to begin with, to stop the Aliens escaping. They can then get down to the business of annihilating each other.
I stand by my previous comment, if there had been an Alien unit there, I would have been daft to move my #11 foward like that, without so much as taking a shot. The playback shows my move while the unit is dead, it then springs to life (and is still displayed using the dead unit symbol).... Posted by

- You're right, but after seeing how you fared in our previous game of this mission, I thought I'd try having two large groups that would (hopefully) smash their way through any opposition and get to the centre quickly. Unfortunatetly, your groups were just as big and better led. :)
It's a pity about the confusion and problems with the re-appearing alien. Sorry about the problems and the way it affected this game. Maybe we can try another game which will hopefully go without hinderance. Maybe I might last a bit longer as well! Posted by
