Game 831: wonderhero, victor in Moonbase Assault

- Steve, I don't understand something. Turn 2: I moved unit no 4 and Victor's unit no. 1 fired only twice. I close the game to continue the next day... I started the game, I moved unit no. 7 and the same Victor's unit no. 1 fired twice again with Laser Rifle. Snap shots takes 18 APs. So this unit fired 4 times witch takes 18 x 4 = 72 Aps.
According to design's look it seems that unit is wearing armour.
Armour takes a least 5 APs.
Laser Rifle takes 3 Aps
So that unit should have at least: 72 + 5 + 3 = 80 APs
Something is wrong in my calculation or is an error ? Posted by

- I'm afraid you're right. I've just carried out a quick investigation and unfortunately the updated AP's of the shooter (when it's an opportunity-fire shot) are not being sent to the server. This isn't "normally" a problem as the client remembers the correct values, but if the client is restarted, it has to get the data back of the server, meaning the shooter gets full APs restored. Sorry about that. Needless to say a new version of the client is coming soon. Did he harm your unit with the 3rd of 4th shot?

- Steve! The same error, but this time I didn't close the game. I did 2 moves with unit no. 2 and Victor's unit no. 6 fired twice. First missed and second wounded my unit with 27. Then I take a break 45 minutes and after when I clicked on other unit without make any move Victor's unit no 6 fired again and kiiled my unit no. 2
So if his unit has at least 54 APs it's ok. Else I want my unit no. 2 alive with 14 health and 41 APs.
After this I will waitng for the new update.
Thank you Steve Posted by

- I rectify: when I came back I opened just a door with unit no. 1 before his unit started fire again on my wounded unit no. 2. But no one spotted unit my no. 1.
I think this is another error: the unit should fire only if the spotted enemy unit make a move and not fire if the other unseen enemy unit make a move. Posted by

- Victor's unit does have more than 54 APs, so he is allowed 3 shots :). I haven't had chance to release the new client yet. Should be in about 24 hours time.

- What about if the unit that opens the door is not seen, but the door opening allows another enemy unit to be seen? (I know that wasn't the particular case here).

- In your case that spotted unit became an seen target so can be gunned, this is a special case.
But once a unit is already spotted he shouldn't be a target again if his unseen mate makes various moves. For sample he can be far away from his comrade.
Of course if this is hard to program forget about it. I can dispense with that. Posted by

- "It was like a chess with bombs". That's classic. I'm definitely putting that on the front page. :)
