- They are nothing, just scenery. The Eggs are the mass of yellow in the middle.

- Sorry Steve, I just threw an AP100 grenade into your midst which unfortunately triggered an error. Can you please do the honorable thing and kill your troops in the blast. Sorry.

- It seems the error report was too large to fit. Let me know if you need the rest of it. :)

- It looks like it was Java itself that crashed (due to lack of memory) rather than the game. :( Either way, my troops will commit hari-kari forthwith.

- Thanks Steve. What ran out of memory?

- Your computer wasn't able to provide Java with the memory it requested. Were you running other big programs at the same time? It's a strange one, and you don't often have memory problems do you?

- My wife had been using the computer for a long time before me, so anything is possible. I'll ban here completely in future. :D

- That probably explains it; if she's anything like mine there's probably a browser open with loads of tabs with "entertainment" news and shopping sites. ;) (Hope she's not reading this...) Banning them would normally be a bit extreme, but this is serious!

- Ha ha. Exactly! :D

- Mine crashed at end turn as well... Looks like some explosions were registered by the log but didn't do any damage.

- That's what happened with mine.

- Let me have a look...

- Sorted now. I really need to get to the bottom of this memory issue. Or maybe you lot could buy some decent PC's!

- Again, a grenade blew up, did nothing.

- Did the client just quit out?

SteveSmith 15 years ago [Login to reply]
- Well... it did apparently create an error log this time. I can send it to you if you need it.

- I've recreated the explosions. I think I might sit this one out and let Narts and Deadlime fight it out!

- Again the client crashed because of explosions. Looks to me like Steve's #7 should have died from the chain reaction. Or maybe he was just lucky? Can units normally survive explosions?

- They can sometimes, but not in this case. Fixed now, and game over for me! :(

- Not again. It seems to be every grenade we throw on this mission. At the top right of the map I heard one of Narts units the other side of the door - so threw a grenade through it. (I successfully blasted Narts' unit 4 with a rocket), but the grenade behind the door crashed the client again. :(

- It's strange cos we never had this many issues before. Some potentially good news: I've just released a beta version of the new client which I'm confident sorts out these memory problems. I've only used it myself for a few days though, but not had any problems in that time. If anyone wants to download and use that, feel free.

- Well played Narts, you were awesome in that game and fully deserved the victory.

- Thanks! You all, uh, died honourably.

- I would have put up more of a fight if half my squad hadn't been wiped out at the start while I was still aimlessly wandering about deciding what tactics to use. :(
