- Steve, I threw 3 grenades on the same turn. The first and second detonated fine, but the following memory error happened before the last one detonated. On restarting the client I can see the grenade is still on the ground. Will it still be primed and detonate when I end turn again? Is there any way of checking before I do so? Thanks in advance.

- It looks like it is unexploded, though it's a bit difficult for me to be certain we're talking about the same grenade. If you end your turn, just let me know if it doesn't go off and I'll explode it manually.

- It detonated ok, thanks Steve. :)

- The hand of God intervened!
I will add that when firing the 3rd rocket in my last turn it crashed, but when I returned something had gone off, leaving a solid block wall at it's epicentre.
(rockets, grenades - this is a blockbuster of a game so far! :) ) Posted by

- Hide and seek. ;)

- more like 'hide in ditch and pray' :)
besides not exactly much left to hide behind! (or not many of us left - take yer pick)
still, good to see grenade-led tactics - better than my suicidal ones anyway :) Posted by

- It's a matter of perspective. There always seems to be less places to hide when you're the one doing the hiding. :)

- Aha - I've just got to hug you and you cannot throw your grenade!

- lol! I take it you didn't fancy a long game of hide and seek. Suits me. :)

- Maybe you can begin to understand the throw and catch debate now, and I wasn't even using that tactic this time. :)

- do you have a mission that showcases the grenade 'cheat'? would love to see it in action

- I'll have a look for one or two.
I've just been watching the playback. I forgot how close you came to a lucky early win in that game. At the time did you know that the first rocket you fired hit the building my Ambassador was inside? That was a good guess! :) Posted by

- Let try not to use the word 'cheat', no one has actually cheated and I don't want to offend anyone. Here's some interesting ones to watch involving Wonderhero using some unorthodox grenade tactics. After all, he is the master of the art. :) Some of these games (especially the first one) prompted a change of the map layout and the throw catch debate, but I must stress that at the time the tactics used in these missions were very clever and fully within the rules. Credit where credit is due, the game and many of the missions are a lot more balanced and fair thanks to Wonderhero's's efforts in finding and exploiting these hidden advantages. And I do genuinely mean that in a nice way. I hope you are not offended Wondehero. :)

- Apologies for the word 'cheat' - I use it in the sense regarding possible gaps in rules rather than sneakiness of players, :). Anyway, no more c-word from me.
this is great stuff - especially #710.
mind if I copy these across to the 'briefing room' forum? as a new player I know I'm benefitting from this info. Posted by

- I just watched that. That was a lucky shot! (Or unlucky, depending which way you look at it).
