Was it not 3 days already? Steve, just a quick note: there is The Stardrive map again in the campaign. Have you managed to add the stardrive to the game automatically?
As I can see Globex is strengthened in numbers. Now the other teams have 18 units. I like playing two games parallel with fully staffed squads. Let's clean up that green splatter from the galaxy map.
The campaign has ended. Metallix has conquered the cornerstones and are now pleased to sell biomass to the underworld dealers. A new hope is needed with better rules to prohibit such glimmering carnage. Max Steve be with us.
I've restarted the campaign. Sorry about that everyone; it's always a problem deciding the best way to choose a faction for new players. As it was, it was choosing the faction with the least sectors, but since they all had 16 it was choosing the same faction each time.
It's allocated factions randomly, but two of them only have one player. I've reverted the algorythm back to adding new players to factions with the least players, so it should sort itself out. BTW, since it's only just started, if anyone wants to change faction it shouldn't be a problem (within reason) so let me know.
Are the games randomly generated? There was a lot of hit and runs in the bottom half which I think has an advantage as you can use less members and credits which gives you more of an advantage in the next game.
Also Where you have areas that you need 8 members oer game it means you can play less games and need to manage which areas you go for.
Also I still think the teams are not evenly spread. Be good to pair up newbies with oldies so it's a more level playing field.
A bit more different games could be good too, like sniper paradise and perhaps cabin in the woods.
The missions are randomly selected, so it's pure chance where they appear. Not all missions are included though, so if you know of any that you want that didn't seem to be, let me know. (I've added Sniper's Paradise, but CitW is a zombie mission).
I've also changed the way new players are added to factions, by choosing the faction with the list total league points amongs its members. That should be fairer.
I was thinking of a final fight where the winning faction competes with the remaining 3 in a 4 player mission. This can be human or non human mission as you wish. If the winner is the winning faction, the campaign is over. If the defenders win, 3 corners changes back to the initial faction and the campaign continues. Ok this might not the brightest idea, just came into my mind during watching a blonde girl on the tube. :)
I definitely like Hokunda's idea of some 4 player missions being included for special sectors. I'm not sure about the corner idea but would be willing to try it out. Blonde was inspiring.
I think the inclusion of 4 player games is a must and the challenge of special finale condition is interesting. At the moment the end of the Campaign is a bit flat and not everyone knows the current victory conditions. I reckon either of Hokunda's ideas of corners or 4 central ones would work. I am in favour of the central ones for the sake of change. You could make it more of a challenge and have to occupy the corners and the central 4? Or is that too much?
