Just wondering if anyone here would be interested in a realtime version of Stellar Forces? I'm currently working on one which I've mentioned in another forum, but I was curious what the appetite was?
That was some battle, think it was actually 7 games as we had a tied match as well. We were very evenly matched and it could have easily gone the other way.
Hi, I'm really sorry, totally forgot about the rematches. I resign, I've got no time at the moment, Paasque had the better of me in the first 2 games anyway, I fluked a win. I want to get back into this but not for a while, feel free to kick me off the leader board, too!
Crikey, the competition seemed to slow to a crawl, and then suddently I blinked and it's all over! Well done, a deserved win.
Someone had the suggestion a while back to have 2v2 for the next campaign which sounded like a good idea. As the winner you get final say on the mission for the next knockout, so let me know which one you want.
I came up with 2v2, seconded by Peter. But if jkbam prefers just a single contest then that's how it should be as he won the last. But could a doubles competition be run in addition to the solo one? Just a suggestion.
If we go with the 2v2 version how do we handling the winner? Do we play as a couple during the entire contest? Is pairing random or choosen? Do we give loosers a second chance in a different pairing? I would like to minimize the possibility that pairs blame each other.
All very good points Hokunda. I suggest for the first time we try a 2 player Challonge, the selection of pairs should be random and the pairing is kept for the whole competion. As for blame I think we should view this new format as fun combined with serious intent to win. And for stronger players to be understanding/sympathetic if paired with weaker/newer players. Besides my experience I always lose first round in the Challonge so apologies in advance to my poor partner! What does everyone think?
I'm in for single version and pairings. Yes defo think that this is a fun game, winning and losing is part of the fun and experience. I think some of the newbies bring new and exciting ideas to the game so don't mind how the pairings are made.
I am ok with another 1vs1 contest. It can be simple like assassins or it can be a unique one with a map specifically modified for the game which has nobody played before. A new map is unknown for both newbies and veterans
I think given the number of players, and the fact that this competiton shouldn't take too long, we might as well start the 1v1 after this one has finished?
