I said the same thing to you several weeks ago Pete. You said you were starting to feel the same. Now you've finally it that peak. I'll take over a couple bud but that's my limit! Henoh all yours after mate. ;)
Trouble is I took over the burden of that mission from you. Same goes for Stardrive, no more. We need mission rotations pronto including more of the smaller missons. But really we need a whole stack of brand new Campaign missions that are different to league missions. I know they are Campaign versions already but credit restrictions etc doesn't make enough of a difference. Even if we had new versions of existing missions. eg Outhouses but with the buildings in a different configuration, couple of extra buildings/features and visual changes, that would breath new life into the whole site.
I thought I could handle but I cracked. I think my idea of reconfigured missions would solve it. Less of a work load than creating new missions from scratch?
I was a big fan of the Amiga game, Cannon Fodder. Great game. But was I the only person who felt emotionally moved by the recruitment music. Perhaps I was. I always remember saying they turn to that into a song.
> But the main problem is stalemate. We are defending and attacking the same sectors over and over.
I think this is the main problem. I can change the missions, but even if only one square has Escort, it could be played loads of time. Did anyone come with a good solution?
Yes whatever the mission, once you get into a sector stalemate, where you are in a continuous defend/attack, it will become tiresome. That is a fundamental problem with the campaign. Solution? This may take some work, but the missions now and again are shuffled.
Hi Steve, out of interest how often are the games randomly changing? I ask only as every game I seem to play now does not correspond to what is listed on the map (against said opponent) compared to my games list. So it's very hard to work out exactly which square you are playing for, especially if you have multiple games against one particular opponent. Does anyone think it's changing too often? I.e. should it not be once a week or something similar?
They're rotated at least once a day, though I can slow that down. That's a good point; it checks to see if there is an open game request and shows the mission for that, but not if a game is already being played. I'll have a look at that. And I'll slow it down. I meant to do that anyway once I was sure it was working.
