Crikey, nothing gets past you! :) I changed it a couple of days ago. I changed The Assassins to 18 turns since (in the games I've played) once it gets to that number of turns it's gotten a bit boring and both players just want it to end. And any game that goes on for 25 turns (which is still a lot) must also be getting tedious. I'm open to comment on this though!

I'm fairly neutral on this. I suppose it does force whichever side has time against them to get on with the job in hand. I suppose we'll have to see how it goes over a period of games to decide whether or not it's a good thing.
A Moonbase Assault 2 game I played against Monkey (I personal friend of mine) went the full 30 turns and ended up being a draw. In the end we only had 1 man each remaining and while there was a period of almost 10 turns where nothing seemed to happen, in the end the game was 1 turn short of having a winner. It ended with him being in the room which held 3 of the remaining computers which he needed to destroy to win, and I was right outside the door ready to shoot him in the back if he failed to do so!
I've only reduced missions which can lose their "focus", like Sterner might be hidden and the opponent never find him. I've not changed missions like Moonbase Assault, since the computers are the focus and they obviously don't move, so both players know where to go.

That Moonbase Assault 2 mission could have easily created a stand off. With only one guy each remaining we both knew that destroying a computer would give away our position.
