• If you are going to implement a wiki for the site (as I voted for recently), I would recommend Dokuwiki. It is a really easy to use wiki with good ACL and account management capability. I've set up two for use at work, and one for my own wiki and have written some plugins for it, so I could help out with the setup of that if you like.

• Thanks for the suggestion and offer of help. I'll just need to set up Apache and PHP to get it up and running.
